(TASDAQ: 8050), a leading manufacturer of industrial motherboards and embedded systems has once again performed extremely well in both the 2010 iF Product Design Award and Taiwan Excellence Award competitions for its SI-24S Digital Signage System after winning the Computex Taipei Design and Innovation Gold Award for 2009.
The iF product design award has been held by iF International Forum Design in Germany for over fifty years and has been recognized as a label for good design. Companies and design studios use the iF seal as a visible symbol of product and service quality. This year, 778 products have been awarded. 2,486 products from 1,016 contestants submitted from 39 different countries, competed for a coveted iF product design award.
Taiwan Excellence is the highest accolade awarded to products that encapsulate innovalue. Taiwan Excellence winners represent the most revolutionary, high quality, high value added products made in Taiwan. A total of 717 products from 325 companies competed for the award and 368 products from 136 companies have been awarded this year.
The low power, energy-saving SI-24S digital signage system is an ultra slim embedded system tailored for digital signage applications. The SI-24S combines the graphics performance of a discrete ATI E2400 GPU with 128 MB of dedicated GDDR3 video memory and the efficient computing resources of an AMD based processor. This model is also available with Intel® Core™2 Duo based processor and Intel® GME965 chipset. It supports dual High Definition independent displays with DVI-I interface. A segregated flow thermal solution prevents the accumulation of contaminants on the system’s electronics, and dual maglev fans provides for worry-free 24/7 operation over extended durations. Integrated with brackets for ease of installation, the ultra-slim and compact design measures only 260mm(W) x 175mm(D) x 30mm(H).
